New work under Portfolio and Sketches. I'm really going to need to find a better way to manage the website.
It just takes so long to get things prepared.

12.11.07
So the site has been emptied. I should have the new content posted within the week. There was
just too much cloging the pipes for too long, so this should motivate me.

8.17.07
A few updates. A lot of time has been eaten up by Anzovin and those steampunk illustrations.

6.8.07
The steampunk illustrations made it on to the front page of BoingBoing, as well as a Wired article, nice.
Lots of new things under "sketches".

4.24.07
Animal Farm and the old subway painting.
Maybe some Maya models soon, as well as the Smaug painting. I need to get
some portfolio stuff out of the way, then get working on the illustrations for the steampunk magazine.
More soon. Here's the dragon:

Those are "come hither" eyes. Yes they are.
I'm starting the job hunt for this summer. Internships would be ideal, but it'll be tough
in the Western Mass area. If anyone knows of anything, lemme know.

4.22.07
/ Steampunk pinups, and people throwing themselves around in masks. Getting back to my roots, y'see.
Also a few comic covers, Netsuki and The Goon. Next up are Animal Farm and The Golden Compass. Word from
the inside is that the Animal Farm Cover is going to be pretty damn slick.
Stay Frosty- The Establishment

3.6.07
New Moby Dick book cover, with some process images.
I can almost guarantee that the image on your screen is much more desaturated than it should be.
Next up is The Hobbit; should be pretty interesting.
I'm going to try to stay away from dragons on piles of gold. If you have ideas, pony up.

3.3.07

So I'm thinking it might be the end of the road for the comic section. It's just taking up too much time.
Probably become a "misc", methinks. I've got too many drawings of steampunk walkers and subway stalkers kicking
around with no place to put them. Fine work all, just not quite brushed up portfolio stuff. There are a few comic pages in there, though.
As for new portfolio pieces, they are on the way. There are a few finished, as well as a few being worked on.

2.8.07
Two updates, one under traditional and another under digital. I'm thinking robot panties man will be submitted to the applied arts competition. It'll soak me $30, but imagine being able to hobknob with all of those exotic Canadian artists.

Aidan and I think we have a name for the comic, which belive it or not is what's keeping us from posting. We already have
completed pages, written story, site hosting and the beginning of a site, but we cant post anything until we know what to call it.
We live charmed lives.

2.5.07
Right. So Monday night finds me feeling sinister and vaguely troubled. Wintersession has been good, but I'm sort of going back and forth on a few things; to wit- I'm smoking a hastly constructed cigarrett out of my 6th story window, pleased with the fact that the bitter, unforgiving cold is chilling my nth screwdriver. Repeating the same Arcade Fire song 6 or 7 times. Better than Wolfsheim though, I guess. WHITNESS:
I feel incredibly fortunate to be doing the only thing that I really enjoy, which I suppose we could call image making. It's been painting all day every day for 2 or 3 years, which is fantastic. All of this damned graphic design though...aye. I thought I had this career nonsense figured out when i was sculpting flowers out of paper for Alba Corrado 2 years ago. I hated it so much that I expelled everything that wasn't two dimensional artsy-crap forever. I failed to consider (this is where drunken writing begins to come together for you) that there are DIFFERENT KINDS of two-dimensional image making. Tits to that. Tits to that forever. Graphic design is wonderful. I had been sort of jaded against it for a while when I was living with a graphic designer for a bit. Seemed like a lot of throwing ink around, and placing bold white letters on it, which I assume is impressive for reasons I havn't been taught to respect yet.
The programming days! yes. YES! I have to admit that I feel like an asshole nowadays. The fact that I took a web design class is an insult to pre-Colin Colin from a few years ago. But I'm at a point now that I feel like i'm not acomplishing anything If I don't paint for most of the day, so that doesn't leave much room for other things. I've been pining for the days I could make a Perl script shit nickles, and the apocolyptic nightmare machinery that is my mind has begun to stir, thinking of undoubtedly outdated ways to apply action to the website. Good god-damn, Arcade Fire.
I'm about to post an image to this "internet log". In the industry, we call them "teasers". Or in this case if the audiance doesn't actually care about the content in question, "what i whould be working on instead of drinking and typing like a fool". It should be posted within the next few days.

Also, I'm back in the stage of activly persuing commission work. What does this mean for you? It means you're going to talk that rich bastard of an uncle into getting a portrait of his award winning dog on the yacht. Seriously. The dog has papers.

It only took 3/4 of a year to update, but here we are. This will be the professional site, so at any given time the work here should reflect a generaly passable example of what things look like at the time. Gotta bring home the bacon, you know?
